Experience of the Attorney

It is important to know the background of your attorney, by asking questions about:

• board certifications or specializations;
• years in criminal defense practice;
• number of cases tried;
• length of time practicing law in your community; and
• experience in handling criminal appeals after convictions.

If you will be dealing with other attorneys in the firm, ask the same questions about them.
