Filing A Wage Claim

Each state has its own procedures for the filing of an unpaid wages or FLSA claim. Check with your state Department of Labor Wages and Hours division. There is no cost to you should you elect to file a claim. It is also illegal for an employer to fire an individual who brings a claim.

More often than not an incorrect payment may be a mistake, and can easily be resolved through a discussion with the payroll or human resources department.
