Employee Rights In The Workplace
Many of our workplace rights are protected under Title VII. Title VII is a federal law passed in 1964 that prohibits discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
In 1967, additional legislation was passed prohibiting discrimination on the basis of age. This law was called the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and it protects individuals who are age 40 or older.
